DO YOU SEEK THE TRUTH?????PAC-10?
33-35, your conferance is under the .500 mark.
you have not one , but two teams without a conf. or D-1 victory
( and they will stay that way untill late Nov. when they go head to head. )
Your Pre-season # 2 lost to that powerhouse program UNLV ( enough said. )
The most notiable conf. win ( cal-mich st.) went to the wayside cuz Mich. St. got embarassed by the one decent team they played.
( dont spout that usc-osu crap, osu didn’t have their 2 best players playing, thats like beating the ancient 49ers W/O Montana, and Rice , deep in your heart you know its right )
The conf. BAD A** lost to a 1-2 team ( at that time ) lets look at who else was 1-2 after 3 games Eastern Mich. , Akron , Kent St. , Miami (OH) , Temple , Idaho , Western Kentuckey , SMU .. just to name a few.
The conf. BAD A** will end the season having played 1 ranked team ALL season.
At week 8 you only have 1 ranked team.
The best teams public rep. aka head coach, Pete Carrol ( sounds like a brady bunch x-mass episode ) is a 60 some year ancient man with a grey head of hair, and an S shaped boxer nose , who talks like a 16 year ancient, g-money white kid who’s trying to be cool.
WORSE news , when one of USC’s players get’s dis-gruntled enough he’s going to admit that his escalade was paid for by Pete’s Car Wash Castle , they will FINALLY get the probation they deserve, and the conf. will not have a team excellent enough to even show face in the Rose Bowl.
After the excellent games are over we get to have one more beer and go to bed, where as you must take your wife out to dinner, cuz its only 7pm.
You start some games at 10pm et. , like the rest of the country is going to stay up untill 2am watching Arizona play UCLA. well guess what you can tell the players to relax , their’s no pressure, NO BODY’S WATCHING ANYWAY
now that I’ve given you these FACTS, don’t be upset or bitter I’ts only honest you know the TRUTH…. I’m sure everyone west of Las Vegas, will still delight in watching your horriable games, as for the rest of the country we’d rather watch GRASS GROW. Its a hard pill to swallow so before you send your defensive answers , remember their facts…

So what? Pac-10 is just not excellent this year but so what? Every conference will have its down years and did you just start watching football or what?
And what does this have to do USC? USC blows out teams from outside of their conference ALL THE TIME. Question the Buckeyes.
So WTF is your point? You really typed all that? Wow LMMFAO I diddn’t even read that.
Plus the Pac-10 was dominant last year. Tennesse got wacked by Cal and both Cal and Oregon were ranked in the Top 5.
So what is your point? I don’t see it?

Hightlight video from one of the best college football games played. Hook ‘em!

here is my college football playoff system tell me what you reckon?
Keep the actual BCS rankings(make them better too) and then have every conference have a championship game or no championship game at all(isnt honest to conferences that have a championship game that others dont). then seed the top 16 teams and start the playoffs after the conference chmpioships. keep the current bowl games and designate a certain number of them for the teams that are eliminated from the playoff to play their final game in against another team that was eliminated from the playoff. If you do the math right then you could have the semi-finals played during the last or next to last weekend in december, then take two weeks off before the championship game, and take the losers from the semi-finals to an alternating huge bowl(rose, fiesta, sugar, orange) and that would be a third-fourth place game that would be played the same weekend of the National championship game.
this doesnt take any longer than usual it(championship game would be played around the same date that is alreaqdy scheduled) only adds more games and if a team cant handle that then they dont deserve to be champs
to those who sday it takes kids away from school too much question the division II schools how the playoffs work, they seem to be able to manage and they play 16-17 games
that is why i say the bcs rankings need to tweaked to add such factors as strength of schedule. i also feel that the higher seeded team deserves AT LEAST the first round at their home sit, maybe even the quarter-finals, but the semi-finals and obviously the championship definetely need to be at a neutral site.

What are YOUR personal top 5 or 6 rankings if this happens in the BCS bowls?
“Fictional” BCS National Championship- Texas barely defeats Alabama, a controversial terrible call was the deciding factor.
Fiesta Bowl- Boise State blows out TCU.
Sugar Bowl- Cincinnati loses to Florida in OT.
Rose Bowl- Oregon defeats Ohio State by 10 points.
Orange Bowl-Iowa defeats Georgia Tech.
The tale lines would be:
Texas – Shaky wins over every decent team they played but they are a huge name school and they did go 14-0 through the Huge 12 and bowl season.
Boise State – Handily won every game against solid struggle during the season AKA Oregon, Nevada (when they were on a 8 game winning streak & had the nations #1 ranked rushing offense) and TCU. A side note would be the fact that on top of winning a BCS bowl they also beat another BCS bowl champion during their 14-0 season. Yes Boise Stat would be a victim of school prestige in that they get blamed for being in the WAC even though they have no choice (the PAC 10 and Huge 12 do not want them because they are only excellent at football and their academics are not exalted enough).
Florida- Only loss was to a excellent Alabama team but a tight win over Cincinnati may or may not be impressive to you. Tebow showed heart in the game that will be remembered as a disappointing bowl bid for a team as stacked as Florida. 13-1
TCU- Fantastic season with wins over 3 ranked teams but a season ending blow out loss to Boise State showed both the let down of being left out of the National Championship game for no excellent reason (question Alabama exactly how much they cared about the Sugar bowl last year when the team was talking BCS championship before the loss in the SEC finals) and that Boise States quick strike offense if for real. 12-1 Record.
Oregon- Would be wishing it could go back in time and erase the smack down Boise State gave them after winning the Rose Bowl.
Thank you all for the brilliant answers. I was trying to prove that under no condition could Boise State win the AP national title or even sway impartial voters such as yourself. Essentially we all just proved that the system is broken…. ALL 120 FBS are supposed to be given a shot at the BCS title.
P.S. Blaming a school for its conference is like blaming a person for their ehtnicity, you can’t just change it.

Bring on the Tide! The only “if” that rally matters at this point.
Hook’em!!!
Edit: All are given a shot. If Boise and TCU were the only two undefeated teams that would be your national title game. Unfortunatly for them, there are also undefeated Huge 12, SEC and Huge East teams. All things being equal, they get the nods over teams that play New Mexico St and Idaho.
2. Boise St
3. Alabama
4. Florida
5. Cincinnati
6. TCU

LOL…this is pretty excellent.
In my opinion there shouldn’t be a playoff for a couple reasons. The first is that it would make to many more games. these kids are in school and need to study for finals in December. Also, it is unfair to the schools to have 4 or 5 more games then they usually have since that means more money/exposure for them. Lastly, it puts too much emphasis on being number one. College is about the pageantry, tradition, sportsmanship, school pride, team building, and school representation. It is not about which team is number 1. If you want who’s number one to your priority, then watch the NFL. If you want to watch kids play just for the fun, desire, tradition, pride, and sportsmanship, watch college.
That sounds like a excellent thought, if there was only some way to sell it to the idiots that make the decisions.
It’s a decent thought, but you need to have strength of schedule play a noteworthy role in the selection process and downplay the role of the human polls (remember, the NCAA basektball tournament selection committee gives NO weight to the human polls).
In addition, I believe that at least the first-round games should be played at the site of the higher seed, if only to cut down the travel for fans. And, the seedings need to be adjusted if necessary such that teams from the same conference cannot meet until at least the semifinals.
I would have to say…
#1 Texas
#2 BSU
#3 Bama
#4 UF
#5 Cincy
But come preseason, BSU drops down to about #15 for sure, their schedule was not as solid as the other teams mentioned and only really one one relevant team in oregon, and i know your looking for someone to say BSU deserves #1 but it just simply isnt th case i feel, UT beat OU and NU who both have top 10 defenses, and if Bama wins by even 1 pt due to a Texas mishap (like they pull an LSU) Bama would be a solid #1 due to excellent wins over LSU, UF, VT, and Tennessee who are all considered top defenses
I can tell you have a huge bias for Boise State. 1: you have the blowing out TCU, wrote the longest description about why to rank them higher, and even described TCU in a way to give Boise State more credit… but anyway
Final rankings would be:
Texas
Oregon
Boise State
Alabama
Florida
Iowa
But the preseason polls would be really different because of recruiting and players graduating/leaving early.
Texas or Iowa would probably suffer most in the preseason polls and maybe Boise and TCU. Bama would probably stay near the top along with Florida.
I would have to say:
1. Texas
2. Boise
3. Alabama
4. Florida
5. Cincinatti
6. TCU
7. Oregon
Other than TCU, Boise just doesn’t have any impressive wins. Remember how terrible everyone thought Oregon was going to be, not only in the first week, but for the first three to four weeks? They were not playing the same football they are now. Not enough to trump beating Alabama.
still, undefeated anyone trumps one loss anyone, and one loss anyone deserves to be higher than three loss Oregon.
