Do you think it is okay to celebrate in the endzone after a touchdown or even before? Desean Jackson

Do you reckon it is okay to celebrate in the endzone after a touchdown or even before?

I reckon that if you make a touchdown then you should be able to celebrate it no matter what it is, even if you might be taunting the other team. There can be a line drawn if it is out of the question, but getting a penalty is just dumb. When you do something excellent, you wanna celebrate. Even taunting the other team can be an incentive for them to do better and stop the next play.

The reason I am bringing it up is because of the DeSean Jackson play last night. He got fined and what he did isn’t a problem. The other team gave up so they gave him the chance to do that, I would do it.

Here is the DeSean Jackson play if you didn’t see it…

With out celebrating before/after a touchdown or play, football would be less exciting, it adds character to the game.
NFL players are supposed to be professionals and should conduct themselves as such. If they want to jump around, wiggle their rear ends and gyrate after making a excellent play, they should join the circus. That’s where you find trained animals.
A celebration should only occur after a touchdown and not before, and even then there should be reasonable limits.
If they are professionals, why even celebrate in a tame manner…it’s their job right? I disagree with people who fool themselves into thinking the NFL is somehow not just entertainment.

CELEBRATE!

Win with class, lose with dignity.

Revelry, taunting, dancing, showboating, etc. doesn’t fit into that concept.

  2. Wild Whiskey says:

Absolutely absurd and Desean is an idiot for knowingly putting himself before his team. There were 11 minutes left in the game and that could have lead to the Eagles losing. No i would rather not see some child, (WHO ALREADY LOST TWO TDs FOR CELEBRATING BEFORE CROSSING THE GOAL LINE) celebrate. He is an proud moron, and bottom line it might be fun for people like you, but for right fans, we like to really watch the game of football.

  3. CuJo says:

Players getting penalized for celebrating is absolutely uncalled for. How come when players celebrate in Hockey no one get penalized. When somebody celebrate in Baseball they don’t get penalized. Hell even when someone celebrate in boxing after winning a fight they don’t get penalized. Only when it comes to football people weep about it and the officials take it to the extreme. Hhmmm I WONDER WHY???

I prefer RESPECT for the other team. I prefer Barry Sanders to Deion Sanders.

I watch a football game to see football, not a pathetic show of terrible sportsmanship intended to get attention. Those who do it, AND those who reckon it’s cool, have the maturity of weenies.
