opinion of this trade……?

i trade Adam Dunn for AJ Burnett,Alfredo Simon, and Jon Rauch……..

its a H2H league,10 teams……and w/out Dunn my OF would be Ryan Braun……Car-Go……Colby Rasmus…and Alex Rios……

basically,i despise spending for saves,but it’s a category i’m losing each wk…….and my SP is hit or miss…..i need to get some more wins and lower my ERA…….

i guess the real question is……Will Rios remain a solid option all yr……and are Car-Go and Rasmus as talented as they look?……

appreciate as much detailed feedback as possible…..

I would take this trade. Your outfield is fine without Dunn, who kills your AVG. I reckon Car-Go and Colby are in fact as talented as they appear, and will eventually blossom into elite fantasy outfielders. While I can’t promise that Alex Rios will remain a solid option he certainly looks to be living up to his potential, and finally i might add. The guy has potential for 30-30 and with the other Sox outfield options struggling, besides Jones, added to the money Reinsdorf gave him, I can guarantee he gets everyday playing time. I like the AJ Burnett part of this deal, as he has looked red hot, I might question for better closers, but if you need saves you need saves. Take it.

The trade in itself seems OK. But, you will have to drop two players. To give you a real answer, we would need to know who those players are going to be. I am comfortable with your first three OFs, less so with Rios but that in itself is not a deal maker or killer. Who do you have to drop could be.

Yes. Your pitching will get some padding, and Dunn is just a terrible batting average guy. Rauch and Burnett are strong. Your outfield is excellent with and without Dunn. Rios will be solid and Gonzalez and Rasmus are talented.

Like Cargo’s upside, but he has only had one huge year.

I really disagree with robert. I reckon that cargo has only just begun.

1. Ryan Braun: he is a young kid with unbelievable talent. Sure 2010 was not his best year but this kid makes the all star team every year and I believe that if he can manage to go to a better team, more people will appreciate his talent.

2. Carlos Gonzalez: He has improved so much after departing from the A’s( so have about a million more) and he now is one of the best players in the league. I truly believe that he is the best 5 tool outfielder we have today

3. Matt Kemp: Kemp has a couple excellent years and yes he has matured a lot more since he first came here, but I reckon the Dodgers are expecting a lot from him, but he is not going to be able to answer all their calls.

1. Braun…I know Cargo had a better year but Braun has 4 solid years behind him. Cargo looks better, but Im gonna stick with Braun.

2. Cargo….awesome numbers plus Gold Glove and 26 steals, but plays in Coors. Place him in Milwaukee, would he be better than Braun?

But I reckon Matt Kemp may have a break out year soon. He may never be in the same level as Ryan but he can be really excellent.

All three are fantastic, hopefully one of them can play for Atlanta in the future, their outfield look pretty sad still.
