A question about foundation/powder?

I have a very fine layer of white hair on my face, more specifically from my cheeks down. I take care of any dark hairs on my lips or chin, but this white hair is just the normal kind that everyone other girl has on their face too, only mine is just…more! I reckon it might be my irish and scottish heritage. If I’m not wearing makeup it’s not very noticeable at all unless I’m in the light, then it become noticeable around my jaw and chin, like a soft glow. I’m worried to use liquid foundations because, more often than not, the foundation clings to the fine white hairs and it looks very obvious, which I despise. What would you suggest I use if I want a natural look, no clinging, not a lot of shimmer, but still decent coverage and evening out of skintone?

hm, idunno. sorry :[ lol. but if you get laser hair removal there it will be gone forever. and it takes about 6-8 sittings, and it doesnt hurt. its worth it if you try other things, and they dont work, cause your hair will be gone forever with it and you wont have to stress about it.
Try mineral foundation, one that is very close to your skins tone. I hear sheer cover is really excellent? They have a website, just type it in on google :)
you could use a mineral fondation like this one..

http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/productdetail/loose-powder/02449.html

it has excellent coverage and wont cling to your fine hair and has a natural look to it and is found at drugstores

Unfortunately most foundations and powders will only emphasize the white hairs on your face, so if you are very self conscious about it you might want to consider some lazer hair removal. That being said, lazer hair removal is expensive and perilous, and every woman does have a small amount of facial hair.

Try a very sheer mineral powder such as one by physicains formula and take a small amount and blend it in with a flat topped kabuki brush (works better than a powder brush) rub your hands together to warm them up, and lightly pat over areas of your face to really get that powder to sink into your skin.

What do you reckon of girls who wear too much make-up to school?

You know there are some girls who wear so much and apply it so terrible that it is so obvious that they have loads of foundation on (tell tale marks) and loads of mascara (looks like lumpy rice pudding)And then there are some who scuplt their cheek bones adding bronzer, blush, higlighter etc just for school!

I dont apply much make-up. I dont see the need. I have naturally dark hair, eyelashes and tanned skin (Italian-Spainsh heritage). I apply black eyeliner, mascara when needed, and a bit of blush.

The thing that annoys me is how these girls look at me and comment not so discreetly how I dont care about my appearance etc. It is so annoying. The thing is that I care about my appearence and skin, thats why I dont apply much make-up.
I am in the last year of school
Nearly all of you reckon like me :D yay

dogwood I really liked your answer hehe :D

They just want to look excellent, although most of them don't.

My daily makeup regime takes me a long time, mostly because I have the time. But I always make sure it looks natural.

I really feel sorry for them, because they would of started off with wanting to wear alot of makeup but then got so many spots, because there skin can't breathe, that they now feel they 'need' to wear this much makeup, but they really need to look at some tips on how to apply it, i personally reckon even they reckon that you look better with the makeup you apply than they do, but because they're jealous they turn it around, if that makes sense, but ignore them completly, thy're the plastics and fakes, when they take they're ,makeup off (if they do) they'll look 'completely' different, whereas you won't because you don't wear as much as them and your kind to your skin, =] lol
You’re the one who’ll be laughing at them when they’re 25 and look 40 because they reckon make-up means applying it with a drywall trowel. You’ll also have fewer skin problems.

It seems like lately the late 70s, early 80s “the more, the better” is the in thing. I reckon I even saw some of that metallic blue creamy eye shadow on a high-schooler the other day. Ugh! They can’t be convinced that they have to look “their best”, so don’t bother trying.

I had a cousin who was going to work on my parents’ farm with me and insisted that she needed her full make-up on when we were going to work in the hay, because there would be guys there. We all got a excellent laugh out of her raccoon eyes and drippy face- especially the guys!

I reckon they’re ridicules and pathetic, they just need attention because they aren’t confident, and then they trash talk those who are not as they.

Well I suggest a mineral foundation, such as bare minerals. It gives you fantastic coverage and I’m pretty sure it won’t cling to hairs. But if you go into selfridges, house of fraser etc and clarify to the makeup artists there, then I’m sure they will be able to suggest something for you to try as well. Hope I helped! :D

The problem is the thicker foundation/powder texture is the more will show up. Here are few things you should have in mind when look for makeup in your case. It has to be for your skin type but the most vital it has to be very lightweight. Now for a natural look, a bit of coverage and to even your skin tone I would say you should use a very fine texture of foundation powder that has to be exactly the color of your skin. You need a perfect match. The powder foundation won’t give you a lot of coverage but the best part is that it won’t cling to the hair and it will even your skin tone.(Dior, Estee Lauder they have very fine powders or Nearly makeup powder SPF 15 from Clinique). You may try as well a very light weight foundation like Nearly makeup from Clinique. It has a very fine texture.

These sad girls are trying to look older. But in 20 years, they will be trying to erase the hurt they are doing now and try to look younger! You have the right thought! I hardly wore any make up when I was in high school and I got the same treatment. Now, I look 15 years younger then my real age and still don’t need to wear it. Don’t listen to them! You care more about your appearance then they care about their own.

    they look like tarts!

  5. Miss Mo says:

i agree with you 100%. those girls that wear all that make up i reckon look hillarious. especially when there casper pale, and they apply Nicole Richie like bronzer on, and the stop right before their cheekbones end. its hillarious to see girls that reckon they look brilliant really not. and i dont wear much make up either, i just place eyeliner and mascara on thats it. my skin is clear, no redness so why should i mess it up by painting my face with $ 12 foundation not my skin tone? exactly. in the end we all look more natural so keep laughin at those girls

  6. dogwood says:

it’s ok dont worry. Most of those girls will realize that all they can become are housewives and hookers if they keep caring about cute ness instead of studies. But who cares? it sounds like you care too much on what people reckon. My last two years at highschool I got there at eight and left at ten everyday, so I went to school unshowered, sometimes in my pjs. I would get made fun of, and would say,’ i dont need to worry about impressing you… i went to school for 10, 11 years without impressing anyone purposely with my looks, and I go to school for two hours, where you who care too much abuot your blush is staying back a year.’ and most of those girls started giving bjs at 13, and have to place makeup on to hide.

  7. slickpunk13 says:

yeah, it’s really so amusing when some girls try too hard to place on make up. like, they never even went to MakeUp101 on the first place and they feel like they’re the hottest girls in the planet.

other than the fact that they would look the same at special occasions (there’d be small drama difference because they wear the same pancake makeup everyday), it’ll also make their skin look older.

i’m very much contented with wearing powder and lipgloss to school because it lets my skin breathe. =)

  8. Survivor says:

Listen I like make-up. I don’t like looking like a clown, but I like looking excellent. My elder sister taught me, that if I look excellent I’ll feel excellent. I used to be just like you, but then she told me what your friends told you, “Why don’t you take care of your looks, it’ll help your self-esteem.” Well, it was right, I added a bit more make up, wore the latest trends and guess what? I felt excellent about myself and people noticed me more in a positive way. Whether you like it or not this world is cruel and it is bias. I work in real estate and your looks are an essential part of work. Although I’m properly dressed I place on enough make up to make my face look lovelier. Reckon of your self as a room. What would you prefer to look at, a gorgeous decorated room which is classy or a plain white room with no decor to distract you from the plainness. Well it’s the same thing, people like looking a gorgeous things and I’m sure you do too. It’s nice to be honest with oneself. Lying to yourself saying that a small make up will make you ancient is not rational. Look at all these models who are ancient, they are still gorgeous (Demi Moore, Madonna and so many others). So don’t take it as something terrible, but something to learn from. Excellent luck.

i don’t reckon it looks excellent but i feel sorry for them because
they usually wear a lot of makeup because they want to stand out maybe because at home they dont get a lot of attention so don’t make fun of them because it makes probably will make them feel worse
