Start Ryan Fitzpatrick or Tim Tebow in Week #8? (2011 Season)?
My regular QB, Aaron Rodgers, is on bye week so my backups are Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tim Tebow.
Fitzpatrick might be the safe choice. He is going up against Washington and they are known for their fantastic defense.
But, Tebow is making some noise. Detroit’s D has some players, but I don’t reckon they would know what to do with a QB like Tebow. He might edge Fitzpatrick this week, who throws some picks on occasion.
Who would you start and why?
Thanks in advance.
Also, I get points if my QB rushes as well as throws.

1) Fitzpatrick has trended steadily downwards and Washington’s D is hell on quarterbacks. This would make this a risky play anyway, but add to it that Buffalo is desperately thin on receivers.
2) Tebow facing a high-powered offense really makes him a BETTER start. Did you happen to notice that the only time he was effective in the entire game this week was when they were down huge without much time to catch up? They ran a completely ineffective offense (not all tebow’s fault) right up until they HAD to get the ball down the field, and then WHOOPS THERE GOES TEBOW. His coach is calling a gameplan that may be the optimal one for the NFL but is not the optimal one for a Tebow offense; being outscored earlier in games is going to help his production by forcing Fox to abandon what he wants to do in favor of what will work. I reckon the lions matchup is a fantastic one for Tebow, as their strength is the D-line and he can escape with the best of them. It’s ball-hawking secondaries that i would be very worried about with him.
So, Start Tebow.

What do you make of the news of what happened today at 11:11 am?
Meanwhile, also at precisely 11:11 am, the NFL issued its own stupendous announcement that the Super Bowl would henceforth be played on November 11th commencing immediately. The remaining games of the 2011 season were summarily scrapped, and the kick off time for the Indianapolis Colts vs. the Crimson Tide/Bayou Bengal mega-team was scheduled for 11:12 am.
After 58 minutes of bone crushing, smash mouth football in which the former NCAA super-team really and utterly dominated the Colts 57-0, Indy called for a time out. Then, due to a small known recent NFL rule change, the entire Colts team was allowed to be substituted by Tim Tebow. Tim then proceeded to face all 22 players on the Alabama/LSU juggernaut team single-handedly. After racking up a record shattering 159 points on the TigerTide all by himself, and with only one half of a second left on the clock, Tim Tebow threw one last hail mary pass from his own end zone, sprinted over 100 yards to the opposite end of the field and made a one handed catch to make the final score 165 – 57. (He didn’t reckon it was necessary to kick the extra point.)
